Neurodiverse-affirming Care

As a dedicated therapist with a long-standing background in working with neurodiverse clients, I specialize in supporting individual adults with autism and/or ADHD with their mental health concerns and developing more effective connections with others. My passion for this work stems from a deep affinity for working with clients who move through the world differently and have struggled in a neuro-normative world. My hope is to help each person reach their goals by identifying and building on their strengths, providing strategies to navigate challenges, and come away with improved self-understanding and confidence.

What is therapy like with me?

My clients have likely tried therapy before, and are looking for something different - they appreciate my unique Buddhist perspective, my own neurodivergent experience, as well as my experiential style of therapy.

I work from a Transpersonal and Buddhist Psychology framework and draw on these methodologies: Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, nature-based strategies, art therapy, and brief-solution focused therapy. I am very good at assessing a client’s learning style, the heart of their challenges, and coming up with unique strategies to meet their needs. I have been a therapist for over 20 years, and am a licensed mental health counselor in Washington state (which means you have to be located in WA state during sessions).
