Tonya is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and Art Therapist licensed in the state of Wyoming. She completed her undergraduate work in Psychology at the University of Washington, and earned her graduate degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology with a Concentration in Art Therapy from Naropa University. Her graduate work included foundational training in Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP).

For over 20 years, Tonya has worked in a wide range of settings with an even wider range of clients:  community mental health centers, programs for children and adults with disabilities such as autism, hospice, cancer hospitals, and many schools.  She is also an educator, professional artist, and behavior consultant. "My favorite part of being a counselor and educator is when clients and students experience "ah ha!" moments through our work together, which then bring about big changes!"
